About the company : We are an Agritech company with a focus on providing smallholder farmers with access to financial services and value added services through the digitalization of the Agro value chain. We make it easy for Agro-businesses to pay farmers digitally for their produce & build the needed access points in farming communities to facilitate their cash-out needs.

In your earlier months with Afarmco CI, you will need to spend enough time understanding our current and future products, our work ethics, our workflows and also work with different teams in different divisions to understand the nature of our business.
Subsequent months will require you to settle into your actual role, where you will prospecting for new client and increase services.

As a business development manager, you will be responsible for generating new business for the Company. You will identify, assess and execute business development opportunities within the company’s target market segment to increase its market position within Cote D’Ivoire. You will develop strategic business relationships with cocoa exporters, cooperatives, farming communities and any other institutions that may require our products and services.
Your perseverance and ambition should drive a healthy pipeline of innovative and dynamic projects.
Your objective will be to make sure we close all clients within our address target market.

Profil du poste

This position requires someone who has worked within the cocoa space, sales and enjoys selling to institutions, FMCG, and government agencies. You must be a well-spoken and well-dressed individual with an ability to inspire people with products and services.
– Promote and Sell our agro products to cooperatives and cocoa exporters in Ivory Coast
– Promote and sell our range of products targeting government agencies and FMCG companies dealing with Cocoa
– Build relationships that will help identify and develop strategic new business opportunities
– Look out for and attend professional and industrial meetings and functions to meet and network with key decision makers within the industry
– Research and analyse key economic factors that may influence market activity
– Join and participate in industry associations and attend industry events and conferences – Cold call potential clients to make initial contact and begin relationships.
– 4+ years in cocoa industry will be a plus
– Dynamic, engaging and enthusiastic with high energy to successfully network and drive a pipeline of new opportunities.
– Deep relationship with cocoa institutions
– Good knowledge of the domain of fintechs, specifically digital payments
– Knowledge of the agricultural value chain
– Excellent Communication and negotiation skills
– Competitive drive with desire and abilities to achieve goals
– Genuine interest in meeting new people and developing strategic relationships
